We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Trainee Chemical Engineer to join our team. This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Minimum Requirements
Completed National Diploma in Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
Strong academic performance
Superior English reading, writing, speaking and interpersonal skills
Strong communication and attention to detail required
MS Office full proficiency - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Duties & Responsibilities
Production:
• Monitor processing parameters during production
• Document and issue engineering change reports
• Set-up production line standards
• Monitor rejects and scrap and ensure scrap and reject targets are met
• Assists Production Controller in plant trials
• Ensuring checklists are complete before production
Quality:
• Assist technical development with the development of new products and formulations
• Testing of all incoming raw materials (FIFO system) prior to plant use
• Report production measurement results on Sharepoint reporting system
• Ensure that the Quality requirements are maintained
Safety:
• Ensure safe working conditions and the application of safe working practices
