Job Purpose
Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Manager: Supply Chain Management, the successful incumbent will perform the procurement functions such as administration of daily procurement activities, producing monthly and quarterly reports and ensuring compliance with all policies; procedures and applicable legislation and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Implement the Supply Chain Management Framework
Administer the business needs and supply the market with information in order to optimise the purchase demand:
SCM Requisitions Administration
Contract Administration
Supplier Assessment
Bid Committee Administration
Central Supplier Database Administration
Ensure internal controls for compliance to legislation, policies and procedures
Perform general administrative duties such as document and records management and customer and stakeholder relationship liaison
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (matric)
Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, procurement and logistics.
Three (3) years’ experience in the Supply Chain Management / Procurement field.
Basic knowledge and understanding of National Treasury Regulations, SCM Policies, and practice notes.

Key Knowledge and Skills
The individual should have:
Strong end-user computer skills with exposure to financial systems and in particular, MS Excel Intermediate level, Pastel Evolution and MS Word.
Knowledge and understanding of the business environment of Msinsi and the Water industry in general, in particular the factors influencing the chart of accounts and financial transactions in the general ledger.
Knowledge and understanding of risk management processes, reporting non-compliance and internal controls. Knowledge and understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) 1 of 1999, SCM Regulations, Treasury Regulations and VAT legislation.
