School Intern Programme

To Qualify

• Be 21 years or older.

• Be studying or have recently completed a Bachelor of Education degree (Senior Phase) or PGCE.

• Be in your 3rd, 4th or post-graduate year of study in 2026, or have recently graduated.

• Subject preferences include EGD, Maths, Physical Science, Life Science, Afrikaans, Art, and English; however, applications for other subjects are also welcome.

• Have achieved an academic average of 65% and above during your degrees (advantageous).

• Have a high level of computer literacy and be willing to learn new systems.

• Be warm, engaging, resilient, honest, genuine, empathetic and kind.

• Have excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.

• Have strong values that align to the Christian ethos of the school.

• Have a clear criminal clearance certificate.

• Be willing to apply for SACE registration and clearances with the Child Protection and Sexual Offenders Registers.

Our expectations

• Commit to a fixed-term contract (1st January 2027 - 31st December 2027) conditional on your performance.

• Immerse yourself fully in the life of our school.

• Learn how to teach while you study and show self-discipline and enthusiasm during your learning journey with us.

• Be excited about learning how to integrate technology into the curriculum, using various electronic media in the classroom.
