Enza Construction is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join its construction team, supporting inland and coastal projects across South Africa. The role focuses on cost management, contract administration, financial control, and commercial oversight throughout the construction lifecycle.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial efficiency, managing subcontractor payments, overseeing project valuations, and supporting project close-out processes. π Key Responsibilities
π° Cost Control & Financial Management
Manage project cash flow and financial forecasting
Prepare and submit timely payment applications
Reconcile project values and financial reports
Optimise revenue from variations and subcontractor claims
Maintain accurate financial records throughout project lifecycle
ποΈ Site & Project Coordination
Supervise and coordinate on-site operational plans
Interpret project instructions for accurate execution
Oversee labour and subcontractor activities
Ensure alignment with financial systems and project requirements

Administer contractual documentation (JBCC, FIDIC, NEC)
Ensure compliance with internal commercial policies
Maintain confidentiality of financial and project data
Support dispute resolution and contract negotiations
Manage project close-out documentation and reporting

Identify and assess project risks proactively

β Minimum Requirements
π Academic Qualifications
BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or equivalent

Minimum 7 yearsβ experience in general or major construction projects
Experience supervising multiple site activities and project teams

MS Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency
CCS Candy Estimating & Valuations
CCS QTO system experience
Strong understanding of JBCC, FIDIC, and NEC contracts
