Key Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of electrical infrastructure projects from planning through to commercial handover
Oversee construction activities relating to high voltage substations, overhead transmission lines, and reticulation networks, including the process to achieve Grid Code Compliance
Coordinate project teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
Ensure projects comply with engineering specifications, regulatory standards and safety requirements.
Manage project schedules, budgets and resources.
Knowledge of CCS will be an advantage
Monitor project progress and report on milestones and performance.
Identify and mitigate project risks.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, engineers, contractors and clients.
Travel to project sites across South Africa as required.

Additional Requirements
Willingness and ability to travel extensively within South Africa.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Project Management qualification or certification (advantageous).
Experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience within the electrical construction industry.
Proven experience managing projects involving:
High Voltage Substations
Overhead transmission lines (medium and high voltage)
Electrical reticulation networks
Eskom Self-Build works for Transmission and Distribution networks
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of power infrastructure and electrical construction practices.
Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems and grid infrastructure.
Ability to manage multi-disciplinary project teams.
Experience with project planning, scheduling and budgeting.
