BTT is currently recruiting for a Plant Operator to join our Richards Bay Operations Team
To safely, conduct BTT liquid fuels and chemicals plant activities, in order to ensure optimal performance, and customer satisfaction
Minimum Requirements
Matric with Mathematics and Science
2 to 3 years’ experience in a chemical industry
2 years Warehousing experience
Completed all internal training as per the training Matrix
Duties and Responsibilities
Connecting and disconnecting of loading arms or flexible hoses
Operation of pumps and other plant equipment
Weighing in and out of chemical road vehicles
Inspection of fuel and chemical road tankers
Preparation and monitoring of all fuel and chemical vessel discharging activities
Maintain tank lockout and line up processes
Dipping of product tanks daily and monitoring of stock levels
Daily monitoring and visual inspections and quality checks of fuel products
Daily monitoring of fuel levels for fire system and product heating engines
Cleaning and or washing of product lines and tanks
Conducting daily and weekly safety checks and completing checklists and reporting deviations
Conducting weekly fire deluge tests
Conducting daily plant inspections
Participate in safety and incident investigation
Participate in emergency response drills
Participate in Firefighting and standby duties
