Toyota is seeking a skilled and experienced Group Leader Maintenance professional to join its Durban operations team. Reporting to the TCP-ED Plant Maintenance Section Manager, the successful candidate will lead maintenance teams and ensure plant equipment, automated systems, and production facilities operate efficiently and safely.
This role involves coordinating maintenance schedules, conducting fault diagnostics, improving equipment reliability, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining ISO and Toyota operational standards. β Coordinate plant maintenance activities and shutdown planning
β Lead maintenance teams to support uninterrupted vehicle production
β Perform fault diagnostics on PLCs, robotics, drives, conveyors, lifters, and ovens
β Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
β Monitor sophisticated machinery and perform proactive repairs
β Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
β Maintain ISO standards, safety compliance, and Toyota operational requirements
β Improve MTTR and MTBF performance targets
