St Charles College is looking to employ a suitably qualified Senior Primary School teacher, commencing 20 July 2026 or 1 January 2027, by agreement. The College pursues its mission based upon core values, and our staff are expected to have integrity and exercise sound judgement in line with the responsibility of educating boys.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to
• Teaching in core subjects including Mathematics, English (first language), Afrikaans and Science.
• Sports coaching in sporting codes offered at St Charles College, including rugby, cricket, hockey and swimming.
Personal qualities
• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to develop positive relationships with members of the school community, which includes parents, learners and colleagues.
• A friendly, dynamic, creative and self-driven personality.
• The ability to take a leadership role and to show initiative in work-related situations.
• A professional demeanour and appearance at all times.
• An excellent work ethic.
The ideal candidate will have
• A suitable professional qualification and appropriate educational experience together with a sound awareness of international trends in education.
• Knowledge of the needs of boys and their particular requirements for learning.
• Sound administrative ability.
• Proficiency and creativity in harnessing technology to enhance learning.
• An ability to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College, and a willingness to participate in the broader life of the school.
