Lovemore Bros is looking for a motivated and detail-focused Junior Draughtsman to join the Engineering Office within the Projects Division in Durban.
The successful candidate will work alongside engineers and experienced draughtsmen to assist with technical drawings, fabrication layouts, and engineering documentation for ongoing projects.
This role is mainly office-based in New Germany but may occasionally require travel to project sites. Candidates must therefore possess a valid driverβs licence and reliable transport.
π οΈ Key Responsibilities
β Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings for engineering projects.
β Assist engineers and senior draughtsmen with design detailing and development tasks.
β Prepare fabrication and manufacturing drawings according to project requirements.
β Update and revise drawings throughout project stages.
β Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper document control procedures are followed.
β Attend project site visits when required.
β Support the engineering department with general project-related activities.
π Minimum Requirements
β National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Mathematics.
β Completed N4 and N5 Draughting qualifications (essential).
β Minimum of 1 year practical draughting experience.
β Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and Word.
β Valid driverβs licence and reliable personal transport.
Advantageous Experience
β Experience using Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor software will be beneficial.
