Job description
We are looking for an experienced, proactive Assistant Manager (2IC) to support the branch's daily operations and step into a leadership role. This position is perfect for someone with a strong foundation in retail management, keen business acumen, and a passion for team development. The ideal candidate will possess both the skills and the drive to progress within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Support, motivate, and develop team members to drive a collaborative work environment.
Customer Service: Ensure high standards of customer service, addressing client needs and enhancing satisfaction.
Sales Growth: Drive sales performance by setting targets and identifying opportunities for growth.
Inventory Management: Oversee product categories, stock levels, and regular stock counts to maintain accurate inventory.
Performance Tracking: Monitor team and sales metrics to ensure targets are met and identify areas for improvement.
Operational Support: Assist in daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and efficient problem-solving.
Minimum requirements
Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Afrikaans is preferred
Management Experience: Strong background in retail and people management.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Growth Mindset: A desire to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility within the company.
Business & Sales Skills: Solid business acumen with a proven ability to drive sales
Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
